LAWTON, OKLA- Lauren Nelson Miss America 2007 sang the National Anthem and started off the action between the Pittsburgh Xplosion and the Oklahoma Cavs Monday night.

The Cavs came out a little slower than Sunday's game trailing behind the Xplosion by as many as 7 points in the first quarter.

The second quarter was the Cavs winning the quarter by 6 points. New Guard DeAnthony Bowden scored 10 points to put the Cavs up by 3 before the half.

After a contest to win a set of Goodyear tires, the Cavs went back to work. They came out of the locker room to win the quarter and take the lead. Xplosion trailed by 9 points early in the quarter. But with two 3-pointers by Forward Albert White, the Cavs lead was cut to 6.

The fourth quarter was all Pittsburgh, and they went on a 10-0 run. Guard Carl Krauser led the team with 25 points, and Forward Kevin Mickens added 22 points.

With 5:31 left in the fourth quarter, the Cavs were down by 10 points and had turned the ball over a total of 30 times.

According to Head Coach Michael Ray Richardson, "The team had too many turnovers. Thirty. Too many jump shots."

"The other team wanted the game more than us," added Assistant Coach Greg Minor.

"We need to win back to back games to go on a winning streak," said Minor.

The Cavs record is now 11-14. They will play on Friday against the Butte Daredevils. Friday will be Lawton/Ft. Sill Appreciation Night, and all reserved tickets will be $5.
