
Xplosion Sign Acker

Pittsburgh, PA. The ABA Pittsburgh Xplosion announced that the team has signed guard Chris Acker, who played earlier this season with the ABA's Detroit Wheels. Acker, 24, played at Chaminade University of Honolulu through the 2003-2004 season. He is the older brother of NBA rookie Alex Acker of the Detroit Pistons.
In his sparkling debut with the Pittsburgh Xplosion, he scored 27 points, dished out 8 assists and grabbed 6 rebounds in the team's win over the Ohio Aviators. This is his first season in the ABA. He has played professionally in Portugal and last summer played in the Southern California Summer Pro League. A native of Kansas City, Missouri, Chris resides in Troy, Michigan.
