Montreal's Half-Court Shot Results in Overtime

Buffalo Silverbacks News Release
Montreal, Canada. The ABA Buffalo Rapids fell at the hands of the Montreal Matrix 132-127. The shortened shot clock and quick inbounds ABA rule attributed to a high flying, high scoring battle. The loss was hard to accept, but in a run and gun affair such as Wednesday night's game, one pass or one questionable call usually determines the outcome. And this time, it fell into the Maxtrix' lap. The Rapids were leading by 15 points at half-time, and after a heart-pounding close to the fourth quarter, the game went into overtime as a half court shot at the buzzer tied the game. It was an incredible game for Buffalo's Johnny Tyson who topped his season's best with 40 points with great games also turned in by Antoine Sims with 33 and Tim Winn, ABA All-Star, with 19. The Rapids play tonight at 8pm as the Boston Frenzy come to Park School in Amherst, NY. Seating is limited. Get your tickets now.
