Xplosion Select Roberts In Fourth Round Of Draft
October 2, 2007 - Continental Basketball Association 1 (CBA 1)
Pittsburgh Xplosion News Release
PITTSBURGH, October 2, 2007 - The Pittsburgh Xplosion made Syracuse forward Terrence Roberts its fourth round selection in the 2007 CBA Draft last week.
The 6-9, 228 pound Roberts averaged 7.6ppg and 5.6rpg in his four seasons with the Orange. Roberts became a full-time starter in his junior season, during which he averaged a career-high 10.7ppg while starting in all 35 Syracuse games.
Roberts was named to the Big East's Preseason All Conference Team prior to his senior year, but an injured knee hampered him throughout the 2006-07 campaign. He still managed to average 8.9ppg and a career-high 8.1rpg in 33 games.
Roberts' athleticism allowed him to become a superior rebounder and shot blocking threat in the tough Big East. His energetic style of play should translate well into the fast-paced CBA, where head coach Carlos Knox will surely utilize Roberts' explosive potential.
The Xplosion begin play November 16 against East Kentucky. Season tickets are available on the Xplosion's Web site, www.pittsburghxplosion.com, or by calling the team at 877-410-9900.
