Pittsburgh Xplosion News Release

PITTSBURGH, October 2, 2007 - Sometimes in sports, a single moment can define a player's career. For former Ohio State guard and Pittsburgh Xplosion draft choice Ron Lewis, that moment came in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Ohio State Buckeyes entered that second round game against Xavier on a roll, winners of 18 consecutive games. The top seed of the South Region, Ohio State ran into trouble with the ninth-seeded Musketeers. The Buckeyes trailed by three in the final seconds when Lewis launched a three from the top of the key to send the game to overtime. Ohio State went on to win, 78-71, and they advanced all the way to the National Championship game. In the loss to Florida, Lewis scored 12 points.

The 6-4 guard played two seasons for the Buckeyes after transferring from Bowling Green, and he averaged double figures in points in both campaigns.

The Xplosion drafted Lewis along with four other college players in the 2007 CBA Draft last week.

Pittsburgh begins its second CBA season November 16 against East Kentucky. Season tickets for the Xplosion's 24 home dates are now on sale by visiting the Xplosion at www.pittsburghxplosion.com or by calling 877-410-9900.
