SOUTHAVEN, Miss â The af2 League office has assigned QB Rod Robinson to the Memphis Xplorers. Robinson, age 26, played his college football at Arkansas Pine Bluff and has spent time in several NFL camps. The Xplorers home opener is tomorrow against Bakersfield. "We jumped at a chance to upgrade at the QB position," said Xplorers offensive coordinator Steve Matthews. "Robinson has been in camps at the highest level. He'll step in right away and provide some veteran leadership behind the center for us."
