Rochester Brigade News Release

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Rochester Brigade (0-1) will travel to Columbus, GA, to take on the Wardogs (1-0) tomorrow, Saturday, April 12, at 7:00 p.m. The Brigade will look to notch their first win of the 2003 af2 season.

"This is the first time that our teams are meeting," noted Brigade Head Coach Mark Saunders. "They are a tough defensive team, but our offense prepared very well this week and we look to put a lot of points on the board."

The Wardogs won their season and home opener last weekend in a tight match against the Memphis Xplorers, 26-25, while the Brigade dropped a tough decision to their division rivals the Mohegan Wolves, in Uncasville, CT, 57-20.

With the Wardogs defense rated in the top half of the league, Brigade leading offensive threat Derrick Baker looks to add to the two touchdowns he had last weekend against the Wolves.

"We were obviously not pleased with the outcome of last week's game," said Baker. "We've prepared well and made some adjustments for tomorrow's game. I feel confident that we are ready for the Wardogs."

The Brigade home opener is Friday, April 18 vs. the Norfolk Nighthawks at 7:30 p.m. It's also the first Brigade Family 4-Pack game, presented by Krispy Kreme, Zweigle's, and Heluva Good. Brigade Family 4-Packs start at just $29.
