Memphis Xplorers News Release
Southaven, MS-The Memphis Xplorers of the af2 remained in first place in the weekly af2 Coaches Poll. This is the second consecutive week that Memphis has maintained the top spot.
The Xplorers collected 223 of a possible 228 points, including 14 first place votes. This is up two first place votes from last week.
The Florida Firecats stayed in second place, receiving 207 total points, and five first place votes. Moving into the number three spot was the Tulsa Talons with 177 points. The only other team receiving a first place was the Manchester Wolves. The Wolves dropped from third place to fourth place after suffering back-to-back losses in weeks 16 and 17.
This is the final Coaches Poll during the 2005 af2 regular season.
The Xplorers are 2005 Mid West Division Champions. Memphis will host the Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings this Saturday night at the DeSoto Civic Center. Game time is scheduled for 7:00pm.
