LAST HOME GAME... The Fire will play their final regular season home game this Saturday night against the Quad City Steamwheelers at 7:30 in Freedom Hall. The Fire lost to the Steamwheelers on June 4, 47-41, in Quad City. A Fire victory and a loss by Manchester will give the Fire the East Division Championship and a first round bye in the playoffs. The Fire will also be giving away hats courtesy of Wildcard Printing. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by calling 368-0009 or visiting Ticketmaster.com.

SAUK SET TO BREAK TOUCHDOWN RECORD... After throwing for seven touchdowns last week Matt Sauk is just three shy of breaking the af2 record for touchdowns in a season. Sauk currently has 91 touchdowns passes this season and is on pace to throw for 97. Sauk has already broken the completion record and is just 288 yards shy of the passing yards record.

FIRE STAYS ALIVE... The Fire defeated Manchester 78-61 on Saturday putting them just one game back for the division title. The Fire defense once again came up big allowing just eight points in the third quarter and forcing five turnovers in the game.

TIPPINS SACKS AWARD... Lineman Andrew Tippins turned in his best performance of the 2005 season Saturday against Manchester and was named ADT Defensive Player of the Week by the league office yesterday. Tippins recorded 3.5 sacks, which ties a league high for the season, 4.5 tackles, a forced fumble, an interception and a blocked kick.
