WV Power Additional Promotions Announced

March 25, 2015 - South Atlantic League (SAL) - West Virginia Power News Release


Charleston, WV (March 25, 2015) - The West Virginia Power, a Class-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, have added three promotional nights to their 2015 schedule. In addition to returning favorites like Redneck Night, Chuck's Birthday and Back-to-School Night, the club is pleased to announce the following:

June 19- The Power will pay tribute to West Virginia by honoring its state animal with a giveaway and a special guest appearance. The first 1,000 fans through the gate will receive a plush black bear collectable donning a West Virginia Power jersey. The Pittsburgh Pirate Parrot will be in town to help entertain the fans and cheer the Power on to victory over the Hickory Crawdads.

June 25- It's Margaritaville Night at Appalachian Power Park. Fans will enjoy this Thirsty Thursday with additional specials like $2.00 Landshark Lagers, $2.00 Bud Light Lime Ritas and $2.00 cheeseburgers. After the final out, "The Buffetman" Tom Watt makes his return to Charleston with his Fruitcakes band to perform a post-game concert on the third base concourse.

July 30- The Power head back in time with their version of Back To The Future Night. Players will wear commemorative jerseys paying tribute to the time machine in the beloved classic film, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary. Those jerseys will be auctioned off to raise money for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. After the game, 80's cover band Mighty McFly will perform on the third base concourse during the Power's "Enchantment Under the Sea" dance.

Fans can save money by purchasing tickets in advance or online at any time. Advance ticket pricing for games played on Tuesday through Sunday is $6.00 for General Admission and $8.00 for Box Seats. Game day prices for Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday dates will be $8.00 for General Admission and $10 for Box Seats. Day-of-game ticket prices on Friday and Saturday nights, highlighted by fireworks shows and the top promotional nights, will be $9.00 for a General Admission and $11.00 for a Box Seat.
