Austin Wranglers News Release
AUSTIN-Returning home for a two-game home stand, the Austin Wranglers
(7-3) host Southern Division rivals, the Georgia Force (6-4), Sunday at 3:00 p.m. The first match up between these two teams came down to the wire, as Wranglers FB/LB Torrance Marshall made an acrobatic pass breakup on fourth down to assure Austin of the victory in Georgia. Next week, the Wranglers host the Tampa Bay Storm on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. to round out the home stand.
At Sunday's game, the Wranglers salute Austin area Boy Scouts of America and Girl Scouts. Also, the first 5,000 Wranglers fans at the game will receive thunder sticks from Aaron's Sales and Lease Ownership.
Beginning the day's festivities is local country music recording artist Leo Stokes who will sing the national anthem. As always, Wranglers cheerleaders, the Lady Wranglers, will perform throughout the game and at halftime.
s
Joining the Lady Wranglers at halftime will be a special performance by the Jr. Lady Wranglers. The Lady Wranglers are offering a dance clinic on Saturday for young aspiring cheerleaders ages 6-12 years old. For more information on the Jr. Lady Wranglers Dance Clinic, call Nadine at 512-339-3925.
"The Wranglers are expecting their largest crowd of the season," said Austin Wranglers Executive Director Mike Feder. "The continued strong performance by the team has been a major asset in finishing the season well."
Tickets for Sunday's game against the Georgia Force and the other three remaining Wranglers home games are available by calling 512-339-3939 or by visiting the Frank Erwin Center Box Office, HEB ticketing locations or the Wranglers Box Office.
