Wranglers Host Austin Capitol Sound

WACO, Texas-The Waco Wranglers look to continue their successful preseason when they compete against Austin Capitol Sound Thursday, Oct. 19 at 7:00 p.m. at the Murray Watson Jr. Student Recreation Center at Texas State Technical College Waco.

This Thursday night is College Night with the Waco Wranglers! College students with an MCC or Baylor student ID get in for only five dollars.

"We want to get the local colleges involved in our ABA games so we are having this Thursday be "college night" so come on out and watch some action packed exciting basketball!" Coach Toni Oppliger said.

The Wranglers are coming off of an outstanding performance last weekend defeating Dallas Diesel and improving to 3-0 in preseason play.

The Wranglers also welcome a special guest Thursday, Keisha Bridges from Prosperity Tax Services, to sing the national anthem as well as a solo at halftime.

All 12 of the Wranglers have had a chance to come off the bench and score. Mario Kinsey leads the Wranglers scoring an average of 24 points a night while Reggie Griffin is in second scoring an average of 21.6 points per game. Griffin is the first of the Wranglers to make a 4-pointer, after making two already this season.

Tickets are available on the Waco Wrangler website, www.abawranglers.com starting at only ten dollars. Tickets are also available at Cavendars, A Gift for Every Sports Fan and Texas State Technical College or they can be purchased at the door. Season tickets are now available on the Waco Wrangler website. Groups of 13 or more will receive a $4 discount.

T-shirts and hats will be available for purchase at the game. Several t-shirts will also be given away throughout the game to Wroudy fans. Concessions will be available.

The Wrangler's return to action Saturday, Oct. 21 at 7:00 p.m. when they host Houston Blaze at the Murray Watson Jr. Student Recreation Center at Texas State Technical College Waco.
