Idaho Takes 2-0 Lead in First Round of Kelly Cup Playoffs
LAS VEGAS, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers were defeated by the Idaho Steelheads 4-2 in front of 3,714 fans at the Orleans Arena on Wednesday night. Idaho goalie Matt Yeats made 42 saves and forward Garett Bembridge scored a goal and added two assists in the Steelheads victory. Forwards Sean O'Connor and Chris Neiszner each scored a goal and added an assist for the Wranglers. Las Vegas will travel to Idaho to take on the Steelheads in Game 3 of the Kelly Cup playoffs on Friday at 6:00 pm (PST).
In the first period, Idaho forward David Bararuk opened the scoring for the Steelheads on the power play at 1:56. Wranglers center Chris Neiszner answered with a goal for the Wranglers at 7:36 of the period. The Steelheads took a 2-1 lead on a goal by Jeremy Mylymok at 12:00 of the period.
In the second period, Bembridge scored at 6:45 to give Idaho a 3-1 lead.
In the third period, Wranglers forward Sean O'Connor cut the Idaho lead to one with a goal 1:55 into the period. Idaho's Justin Cox scored the Steelheads final goal of the night at 6:38 of the period.

Wranglers season ticket holders and mini-plan holders have the first right of refusal for their seats. Tickets for all games are on sale now.
Fans may purchase seats to all Wranglers home games at any of the following ticket locations: The Orleans Arena Box Office, Coast Casinos' showroom box offices at The Orleans, Gold Coast, South Coast and Suncoast, or at the Galleria Mall guest relations/ticket centers.
