Six Titans headed to AHL

TRENTON, NJ (April 10, 2006) - With their 2005-06 season concluded, the Trenton Titans announced on Thursday that goaltender Rejean Beauchemin, forward Kiel McLeod and defenseman Stephen Wood have been recalled to the Philadelphia Phantoms of the American Hockey League, forward Mark Lee and defenseman Mike Jarmuth have been recalled by the Bridgeport Sound Tigers (AHL) and left wing Scott Bertoli has been loaned to the AHL's Norfolk Admirals.

McLeod, 23, totaled ten points (5g, 5a) in ten games for the Titans through the regular season and playoffs. The 6-6, 230-pound native of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta has also notched two goals and two assists in 33 games with the Phantoms.

Before joining the Flyers organization, McLeod was a second round draft pick (#53 overall) of the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. He also enjoyed a six-year career with the Kelowna Rockets of the Western Hockey League (WHL) before entering the pro ranks.

Wood, 24, returns to Trenton from his fourth call-up to Philadelphia (AHL) this year. The second-year blueliner led all Titans defensemen with seven goals and 21 assists in 38 games during the regular season and picked up two goals for Trenton in two postseason games.

The native of Sudbury, Massachusetts has also appeared in 26 games for the Phantoms this season chipping in two goals, nine assists and 22 penalty minutes.

Jarmuth, 23, gathered two assists for Titans in this year's playoffs, while also posting three goals, 24 assists and 28 penalty minutes in 48 games for Trenton. Jarmuth heads back to Bridgeport for the third time this season having appeared in 15 games and scoring an assist.

The, 6-0, 205-pounder from Monkton, Ontario posted 13 goals, 23 assists, 36 points and 24 penalty minutes in 72 games last season with the Mississippi Sea Wolves, while also being selected to the 2005 ECHL All-Rookie Team.

Lee, 21, tallied a goal on Tuesday in his only playoff game for the Titans. The second-year pro out of Mount Pearl, Newfoundland recorded six goals, 19 assists and 30 penalty minutes in 36 games with Trenton and has a goal in 25 games for the Sound Tigers.

Bertoli, 28, get his third call-up to Norfolk where he has up a goal and two assists in seven games. The seven-year pro ranked first on the Titans this season with 47 assists and 66 points and was third on the team with 19 goals.

A native of Milton, Ontario, Bertoli has spent all but eleven of his 456 professional games with the Trenton Titans and is the team's all-time leader in games played (445), goals (151), assists (296) and points (447).
