Wranglers Extend Qualifying Offers to Eight

Las Vegas - The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today that qualifying offers have been issued to eight players for the 2012-13 season.

Qualifying offers secure the Wranglers' rights to a player for a season, whether they sign with the team or not. If a player does not accept the qualifying offer by the Aug. 1, 2012, deadline, he is then able to renegotiate with the Wranglers or sign outside of the ECHL. ECHL teams are able to reserve the rights for up to eight qualified players.

The Wranglers extended qualifying offers to the eight players below:

Goaltender Joe Fallon - Fallon ended the 2011-12 regular season with a 30-10-4 record, a 2.39 goals-against average and a 0.912 save percentage. He was named ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Jan. 23-29., 2011, and the American Hockey League's Player of the Week for March 12-18, 2012, after going 4-0-0 and allowing just five goals on 125 shots with the Houston Aeros.

Defenseman Jamie Fritsch - Fritsch tallied nine points (1 goal, 8 assists) in 42 regular-season games for the Wranglers last season, and three assists in eight playoff games. He was also called up to the AHL three times.

Defenseman Jeff May - In 2011-12, May recorded 27 points (7 goals, 20 assists) in 50 regular-season games, and another seven points (2 goals, 5 assists) in 18 playoff games for Las Vegas.

Defenseman Channing Boe - Boe collected 16 points (3 goals, 13 assists) in his first professional hockey season, appearing in 69 regular-season games and 12 playoff games for Las Vegas.

Forward Eric Lampe - In his first season with Las Vegas, Lampe notched 67 points (37 goals, 30 assists) in 52 regular-season games, and 21 points (7 goals, 14 assists) in 17 playoff games. He set new Wranglers records for most goals in a game (4), most points in a game (6), and most goals in a season (37). Lampe was also named ECHL Player of the Month for October 2011.

Forward Scott Campbell - During his first professional season, Campbell collected 31 points (15 goals, 16 assists) in 51 regular-season games, and 10 points (8 goals, 2 assists) in 18 playoff games. He earned two AHL call-ups while with the Wranglers.

Forward Josh Lunden - Lunden amassed 42 points (21 goals, 21 assists) in 44 games in his second season with the Wranglers. He tacked on an additional 10 points (4 goals, 6 assists) in 15 playoff games, and got called up to the AHL four times during the 2011-12 season.

Forward Judd Blackwater - Blackwater picked up 56 points (21 goals, 35 assists) in 46 regular-season games with the Wranglers, and an additional 14 points (6 goals, 8 assists) in 18 playoff games. 2011-12 was his first season with Las Vegas.
