Prince Albert, Saskatchewan - Nine members of Team Slovakia, preparing for the World Junior Championships with a training camp in Prince Albert, visited 3 PA schools Thursday morning. They were treated to greetings in Slovak, videos of Slovakian accomplishments on the world stage, food and gifts.
rtin Stajnoch and Richard Panik visited Queen Mary Community School and Marek Viedensky, Andrej Stastny and Marek Ciliak stopped by John Diefenbaker School. All three contingents received warm Canadian greetings from the elementary school children who were excited to see stars of the upcoming World Junior Championships in Saskatoon.
Here is the remainder of the itinerary for Team Slovakia's Training Camp in PA:
Today:
Practice - 11:00 AM - Noon - Art Hauser Centre
Practice - 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM - Kinsmen Arena
Friday:
Practice - 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM - Art Hauser Centre
Practice - 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM - Steuart Arena
Team Slovakia will be guests at the Prince Albert Raiders vs. Saskatoon Blades game, Friday at 7:00 PM at the Art Hauser Centre.
Pee Wee Stars to Skate with Switzerland,
Autographs Sunday at the Art Hauser Centre
The Prince Albert Pee Wee II Stars sold the most tickets of any minor hockey team and have earned the right to skate with Team Switzerland Sunday from 3:00 - 4:00 PM at the Art Hauser Centre. Minor hockey teams were challenged to see which team could sell the most tickets to the Switzerland vs. Austria Pre Competition game Monday to earn this once in a lifetime opportunity!
The Autograph session with Team Switzerland has been now move to the Johnny Bower Lobby in the Art Hauser Centre Sunday from 4:00 - 5:00 PM. Also the Box Office will be open from Noon until 4:00 PM Sunday to allow fans to purchase tickets to the Monday night game!
