Workman Drops Rawhide in 11th

SAN BERNARDINO, CA-Andrew Workman hit a Seth Simmons fastball over the fence in left-center in the bottom of the 11th to end a tense game and give Inland Empire a 3-2 win in the opener of their 4-game series with Visalia.

The 66ers (20-14) scored first on an RBI single in the bottom of the 2nd by Abel Baker against Kyle Winkler, who pitched 5 strong innings in a no-decision.

Jake Lamb slammed 2-run double off the wall in right field in the top of the 5th to give Visalia a 2-1 lead; they missed a chance to tack on in the 6th when they left two runners in scoring position.

Inland leveled the game at 2 on a flare single to center field by Alex Yarbrough, which scored Zach Wright.

The Rawhide (22-13) continue the series on Saturday at 7:05.
