This Weeks Notes and News

The Ice Bears had a great weekend at home while missing star player Kevin Swider. It looked like a shaky weekend at first when the Richmond Renegades knocked the Bears off in overtime, but without any trouble, the Ice Bears were able to drop the Fireantz and the Cottonmouths the following two nights to finish the home stand with two wins and one loss. Tim Vitek stepped up big with three goals against the Cottonmouths to lead the Ice Bears to a 4-2 victory on Sunday evening.

The following weekend on the road was a weekend that would not hurt to forget. The Ice Bears travelled to Columbus and Fayetteville in two nights and dropped both games by a single point. To say the Ice Bears didn't look like themselves this past road trip is an understatement. It will be nice for them to step back on their home ice again this weekend to make up for a difficult road trip.

The Ice Bears will face the number two rank Huntsville Havoc on Thursday night during our Dollar Days night and the Richmond Renegades on Friday night with the support of church groups and an assortment of mascots.
