Worcester Sharks Add Forwards Lane Scheidl and Peter Sivak

WORCESTER, MA - Worcester Sharks General Manager Wayne Thomas announced today that the Worcester Sharks have signed forward Lane Scheidl (SHY-DELL) to an amateur tryout agreement (ATO). Per club policy, terms of the deal were not announced.

The 5-11, 190lbs forward and native of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan led the Regina Pals (WHL) with 80 points (41-39-80) in 72 games this season. The 21-year-old was named the Pats Player of the Year and the Three Stars Award winner and led the Pats with 16 power play goals.

Scheidl accumulated 186 points (88-98-186) in 277 career games in the WHL with Vancouver, Red Deer and Regina. Lane will wear #39 for the Worcester Sharks and will begin practicing with the club on Thursday.

In addition, the Sharks have signed forward Peter Sivak (SEE-VACK) to a player tryout agreement (PTO). Sivak led the San Francisco Bulls (ECHL) and was 4th in the ECHL with 33 goals. The 5-10, 180lbs forward from Cheb, Czech Republic had 56 points (33-23-56) in 64 games with the Bulls and led the ECHL with 266 shots on goal. The 31-year-old has 181 pts (86-95-181) in 356 games in Slovakia and 22 points (4-18-22) in 97 games in the Czech Republic on his international resume. Sivak will wear #24 with the Worcester Sharks and began practicing with the team on Wednesday.
