Woolwich Looks to OHL for Hockeyville 2009 Bid

Representing Ontario in the top 5 of the Kraft Hockeyville 2009 contest, Woolwich continues to rally support in its' bid to become the winner of Canada's next Kraft Hockeyville.
Woolwich still has its eye on the top prize of $100,000 and an NHL Pre-Season game to be played in the Dan Snyder Memorial Arena in Elmira as well as the bragging rights of being crowned Canada's Hockeyville 2009!
Committee members are calling all Ontario Hockey League fans to support this bid by voting February 28th - March 4th. The winner of the Kraft Hockeyville Contest will be announced during Hockey Night in Canada, on CBC, March 7th.
The Dan Snyder Memorial Arena, which is scheduled to open later this summer, will be a testament to all in the hockey world who have supported his legacy. The OHL renamed its humanitarian award because of the community spirit and passion Dan showed on and off the ice as a member of the OHL's Owen Sound Platers from 1995-1999.
Over 40 alumni from Woolwich or the Elmira Sugar Kings, of the Midwestern Jr. B League, have played or coached in the OHL. The Dan Snyder Memorial Arena will continue to support up and coming players and the surrounding community will benefit from this state of the art twin pad arena and recreational facility. Woolwich is hoping that all OHL fans will support their endeavour and the memory of Dan Snyder by voting as much as they can to show Canada that Ontario is "serious about hockey" and to bring the title of Kraft Hockeyville back to Ontario.
Last year Roberval, Quebec was crowned Canada' Hockeyville with 2.2 million votes. Woolwich will be launching a "Drive for 5.5"over the next two weeks. Organizers are setting a goal of 5.5 million votes to crown Woolwich Canada's next Kraft Hockeyville 2009.
Final voting for the title of Hockeyville 2009 will begin at 11:00pm on Saturday February 28th and go through until March 4th. Remember that voting is unlimited.
