
OHL announces disciplinary action - Game of Feb. 13th, 2009 - Saginaw at Kitchener

The Ontario Hockey League today announced the result of its review of an incident which occurred in the game played in Kitchener, Ontario on Friday, February 13th, 2009 between the Kitchener Rangers and the visiting Saginaw Spirit Hockey Club involving player Mike Mascioli of the Kitchener Rangers Hockey Club.
The incident in question saw player Mike Mascioli receive a game misconduct for his physical interaction with an official.
In making the announcement as the result of the review, Commissioner David Branch stated "the actions of player Mascioli were most concerning and the League will not tolerate the abuse of officials. As a result of his actions, player Mike Mascioli shall be suspended for ten (10) games."
