
OHL Announces Disciplinary Action

The Ontario Hockey League today announced the result of its review of an incident which occurred in the game played in London, Ontario on Friday, February 13th, 2009 between the London Knights and the visiting Erie Otters involving player Zac Rinaldo of the London Knights Hockey Club.
The incident in question saw player Zac Rinaldo receive a game misconduct for checking from behind which resulted in a concussion and facial lacerations being sustained by the opposing player.
In making the announcement as the result of the review, Commissioner David Branch stated "the League is very concerned with checks from behind and we must all continue to work to eliminate such actions from our game. As a result of this infraction, player Zac Rinaldo shall be suspended for eight (8) games."
