WOLF TRACKS
--- The Wolves have posted a 3-5-1-1 mark in their last 10 outings and are clinging to the eighth and final spot in the Western Conference playoff standings; Chicago shares third place in the Midwest Division with 69 points in 62 tilts (30-23-5-4); the team's 62 games are tied for the fewest-played in the AHL and it holds at least two games in hand on 10 of the other 14 teams in the Western Conference.
--- Forwards KELLAN LAIN and LUDWIG BLOMSTRAND made their pro debuts with the Wolves last week; the 23-year-old LAIN wrapped up his junior season at Lake Superior State University before joining the Wolves, while the 20-year-old BLOMSTRAND began the year in Sweden's first division.
--- The Wolves have surrendered 12 goals in their last four games, seven of which have been man-advantage markers; Chicago has surrendered 33 tallies in 12 games during the month of March (20 even, 10 power play, 2 short-handed, 1 shootout).
--- Chicago and Hershey remain the only two teams in the AHL without a victory when trailing after two periods this season; the Wolves faced a 1-0 deficit on Saturday and a 3-1 disadvantage on Sunday after 40 minutes of play and were unable to score a goal in either of those third periods.
BABY IT'S GOAL-D OUTSIDE
--- The Wolves have scored just one goal over their last seven full periods of hockey and have scored three or more goals in five of their 12 games during March; Chicago is averaging 2.65 goals per game this year, which ranks 18th in the AHL and is on pace to set a franchise low for average goals scored in a year.
