ALMOST HOME

The Wolves close out their five-game road trip on Friday in Peoria before returning home on Saturday, where they will play four of their next five games; Chicago has posted a 2-2-0-0 mark through the first four legs of its road trip.

WOLVES HEADLINES

--- BRETT STERLING: Bagged his fourth goal of the season on Friday to extend his current point streak to five games (3G, 3A) ... Shares first on the Wolves with 4 goals and holds the team lead with 9 points in 10 games this season ... Shares first among team forwards and second overall on the Wolves with a +4 plus/minus rating and has accrued a plus or even rating in eight of his 10 tilts ... Registered 62 points (30G, 32A) in 73 AHL contests with the Peoria Rivermen and Portland Pirates last year ... Shared eighth in the league with 30 markers and ranked 13th in the circuit with 62 points last season ... Skated in four NHL games with the St. Louis Blues during the 2011-12 campaign

--- JORDAN SCHROEDER: Posted 2 points (G, A) on Friday which was his second multiple-point outing in his last four matchups ... Shares first on the squad with 4 goals and ranks second with 8 points in 12 games this season ... Registered 7 points (4G, 3A) in his last seven outings after posting an assist in his previous five matchups ... Shared second on the Wolves with a career-best 21 goals and ranked third with a career-high 44 points while appearing in all 76 games last season ... Ranked fourth on the club with 23 assists and five power-play strikes

--- STEVE PINIZZOTTO: Tallied both goals in Chicago's win on Nov. 6, his first regular-season marker since April 1, 2011 (a span of 617 days) and his first multiple-goal outing since Feb. 19, 2011 (a span of 658 days) ... Shares first on Chicago with 5 assists and third on the team with 7 points in 12 games this year ... Missed the entire 2011-12 season due to an injury he suffered in a Vancouver Canucks preseason matchup on Sept. 25, 2011

--- CHRIS TANEV: Dished out an assist in back-to-back games last week and was the only Wolves skates to post a plus rating in the team's 7-4 loss on Friday at Milwaukee ... Shares second among Chicago blueliners with 4 points (G, 3A) in 10 contests this season ... Skated in 25 NHL games with Vancouver last season, collecting two assists and two penalty minutes ... Ranked third among Wolves blueliners with 14 assists and fourth with 14 points in 34 AHL contests with Chicago in 2011-12

WOLF TRACKS

--- The Wolves outshot both their opponents last week after outgunning their foes just twice in its first 10 games this year; Chicago has registered a 3-1-0-0 mark when outshooting the opposition this season.

--- Defenseman YANN SAUVE leads the Wolves with a +6 plus/minus rating this season; the 22-year-old blueliner has accrued a plus rating in five of his seven contests this year and posted an even rating in the other two tilts.

--- The Wolves surrendered a season-high seven goals to Milwaukee on Friday; it was the most markers they have allowed since they gave up seven to Grand Rapids on Feb. 9, 2011, a span of 113 contests.

--- Nine AHL teams currently sport winning percentages above the .600 mark, including the Wolves; yet, Chicago is the only one of those nine teams that holds a negative goal differential (-3).

--- Chicago was perfect on the penalty kill in back-to-back games for the first this season last week (six of six); the Wolves rank 27th in the AHL with a 75.5 efficiency rating on the penalty kill (40 of 53).

--- Defenseman MARK MATHESON's power-play goal on Friday was the team's fourth man-advantage marker in its last five outings (four of 24); Chicago has converted on just five of 55 power-play opportunities in 12 games this season.

--- Wolves defenseman BRAD HUNT will visit the Antioch Public Library, 757 Main Street, at 6:30 p.m. on Wed., Nov. 14, to kick off the team's "Read to Succeed" program, presented by Butternut Bread and J.U.L.I.E. Inc. Members of the squad will make more than 20 library visits throughout the Chicago area this season for the program, which has reached more than 625,000 children since its inception in 1995.

--- Center STEVE PINIZZOTTO scored two second-period goals to lift the Wolves to a 2-1 victory over the Charlotte Checkers at Time Warner Cable Arena
