Wolves Sign Paquette

The Chicago Wolves have signed right wing DANICK PAQUETTE (DA-nihk pa-KETT) to an Amateur Tryout Contract (ATO).

The Atlanta Thrashers' third choice, 64th overall, in the 2008 National Hockey League Entry Draft, PAQUETTE ranked second on the Lewiston MAINEiacs (QMJHL) with 25 goals and 50 points and paced the QMJHL with a career-high 230 penalty minutes in 61 games this season.

The 18-year-old forward who captained the MAINEiacs squad, shared first on the team with three points (2G, A) despite just appearing in two of the team's four postseason contests during the MAINEiacs' first round, 4-games-to-0, series loss against the Drummondville Voltigeurs.

The Montreal, Quebec, native collected 58 goals, 52 assists, 110 points and 555 penalty minutes in 187 regular-season contests during three seasons of action with Lewiston (2006 to 2009). He also appeared in 21 postseason contests with the MAINEiacs, collecting up six points (2G, 4A) and 73 penalty minutes.

PAQUETTE will be available to make his professional debut tonight when the Wolves host the Quad City Flames at the Allstate Arena at 7 p.m.
