Sudbury Wolves News Release

(GREATER SUDBURY, ON) The Sudbury Wolves are set to host a doubleheader week at home, when division rivals North Bay Battalion visit the Den on Wednesday, followed by the Niagara IceDogs on Friday. Both games are set for a 7:05pm puck drop.

The Wolves currently sit fourth in the Eastern Conference with a record of 7-5-0-0. This past week saw Dalibor Dvorský (STL) continue his OHL point streak, stretching it to four games with two goals and three assists. 2024 NHL Draft eligible Kieron Walton continues to impress, notably scoring two goals in 27 seconds against Guelph on Friday, leading the Pack to a 5-2 win. Sudbury looks for vengeance on Wednesday against the Battalion, as the Wolves fell 5-4 in North Bay this past Sunday.

The North Bay Battalion enter Wednesday's contest third in the Eastern Conference (6-4-2-1), sitting one point above the Wolves, making the matchup all that more important. The Battalion are led offensively by the duo of Anthony Romani and Dalyn Wakely, both featured in the top-10 of the OHL with 19 points. Ty Nelson (SEA) leads the Battalion in defencemen scoring, recording nine points in 12 games.

Wednesday's game is sponsored by Special Olympics. The Sudbury Wolves have joined forces with Law Enforcement Torch Run and Special Olympics Sudbury to raise awareness about the importance of individuals with an intellectual disability. Prior to the game members from the Special Olympics Sudbury will join us for a ceremonial puck drop. Please visit the Special Olympics table in the lower concourse for more information.

Join the Wolves Friday as we remember the brave men and women who served our country and continue to do so. There will be a Remembrance Day ceremony prior to puck drop to honor those who have served and sacrificed.

Friday's game is sponsored by Sudbury.com. The Niagara IceDogs are seventh in the Eastern Conference with a 3-4-4-1 record. The IceDogs are led by 2023 OHL Priority Selection second overall pick Ryan Roobroeck, who's recorded four goals and three assists for seven points this season.

Fans can pack the Den for both Wednesday's and Friday's matchups with tickets on-sale now at greatersudbury.ca/tickets and at the Sudbury Arena Box Office.
