Published on November 7, 2010 under American Hockey League (AHL) News Release
MILWAUKEE---The Chicago Wolves scored once in the first period, but couldn't find the net again as they fell to the Milwaukee Admirals, 4-1, at the Bradley Center Sunday night.
Right wing Darren Haydar scored the lone goal for Chicago (6-6-1-0) when he tied the score, 1-1, 12:26 into the opening frame. Haydar moved in behind Milwaukee netminder Mark Dekanich, scooped up the rebound from left wing Fredrik Pettersson's shot and slid it over the goal line.
Dekanich (6-1-1) posted 26 saves for Milwaukee.
Milwaukee (6-3-1-2) opened scoring, 9:10 into the first period when defenseman Teemu Laasko took a pass in the high slot and fired a shot past Chicago goaltender Peter Mannino, five hole.
Left wing Kelsey Wilson snagged the puck in the slot and shot past Mannino, glove side, giving the Admirals the lead, 2-1, 2:21 into the middle frame.
The Admirals made their lead 3-1, 7:54 into the second period when left wing Mark Santorelli took a rebound off the post and slid the puck into the net behind Mannino.
Santorelli closed scoring when he flicked the puck from the crease over a fallen Mannino, making the score 4-1, 13:29 into the last frame.
Mannino (1-1-0) thwarted 36 shots in the loss.
The Wolves continue their eight game road trip against the Texas Stars at Cedar Park Center Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
