Wolves Battle Admirals in West Division Semifinal

The Chicago Wolves will launch their first 2008 Calder Cup playoff series, the team's 13th postseason bid in 14 years, when they face the Milwaukee Admirals in a best-of-seven series beginning at the Allstate Arena on Wed., April 16, at 7 p.m., and Fri., April 18, at 7:30 p.m. Chicago swept the Admirals, 4-games-to-0, in the 2007 West Division Semifinal.

Games 3 and 4 will be held at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee on Sun., April 20 at 4 p.m., and on Wed., April 23 at 7 p.m. If necessary, the Wolves will host Game 5 on Thu., April 24 at 7 p.m., the Admirals will host Game 6 on Sat., April 26 at 7:30 p.m., and Chicago will host Game 7 on Mon., April 28 at 7 p.m.

The top-seeded Wolves, who clinched the best record in the Western Conference on Sunday, posted a 6-3-1-0 mark against the fourth-seeded Admirals during the 10-game regular-season series this year. Chicago has faced Milwaukee four times before in postseason play, coming away with wins in three of those series. Prior to the 2007 West Division Semifinal victory, the Wolves defeated the Admirals, 4-games-to-2, in the 1998 International Hockey League Western Conference Semifinal and 4-games-to-1 in the 2001 IHL Western Conference Semifinal. Milwaukee eliminated Chicago, 4-games-to-2, in the 2004 American Hockey League West Division Final.
