Sudbury Wolves News Release

(Greater Sudbury, ON) The Sudbury Wolves, in partnership with Desjardins, are pleased to announce that over $6300 was raised from the Heart and Stroke Foundation game that took place on Friday March 11th. The money was raised from the online jersey auction as well as through the paper air-plane toss.

"We are thrilled with the success of this initiative, the community really came together to support such a great cause," says Josée Préseault, Regional Vice-President, Sudbury and Northern Ontario at Desjardins Ontario Credit Union. "We have a long-standing history in supporting both the Sudbury Wolves and the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Therefore, this collaboration was a natural fit for Desjardins."

"We are very fortunate to have community-minded partners such as Desjardins who are committed to giving back to the community just like we are," said Miranda Boivin, SWSE Marketing Manager. "We would like to thank the Desjardins management and employees for their support of this event. These types of events are not only about raising money, but also raising awareness for these charities and non- profit organizations in the community; while also having fun and enhancing the game experience for fans."

The Heart and Stroke Foundation jerseys were one of two special jerseys that the Wolves wore during the 2021-22 season. The Wolves also raised over $4800 for the Presidents Choice Children's Charity.

The Sudbury Wolves would like to thank their fans for their tremendous support with these events this season.
