Anchorage Wolverines News Release
The Anchorage Wolverines have taken their first loss in the last five games with a 8-2 loss against the Lone Star Brahmas.
The Brahmas took an early lead, securing their first goal within the first two minutes of the puck drop. They managed to rattle off three more before the period ended, going into the first intermission up by four.
It was all Brahmas until the 3rd frame, when Bryce Monrean and Kade Shea managed back-to-back goals, but it wouldn't be enough to erase the 6-2 deficit. Brahmas responded with two more goals to round out the 8-2 final.
Anchorage will attempt to avoid elimination in tomorrow's Game 2, with puck drop at 1:30pm AKST.
