The Wolf Pack split a pair of Atlantic Division games this past week. They extended their winning streak to five games with a 3-1 victory at Worcester on Friday, notching their fourth straight road win, and then saw the overall win streak come to an end on Saturday, as the Lowell Devils came into the Hartford Civic Center and handed the Pack a 6-4 defeat. Ryan Callahan scored in both games, extending his goal-scoring streak to a franchise-record six games (8-3-11), and Steve Valiquette rang up his fourth consecutive win on Friday with 18 saves. Valiquette has allowed only five goals on 103 shots in those four contests, for a goals-against average of 1.23 and a save percentage of 95.1.
This week:
After having only three games on the schedule in a span of 16 days, the Wolf Pack will face four games in five days starting Wednesday, when they host the Philadelphia Phantoms (7:00). The Worcester Sharks visit the Hartford Civic Center on Friday night (7:00), and the Portland Pirates come to town on Saturday evening (7:00). That is the Wolf Pack's next tenth anniversary commemorative giveaway night, with the first 5,000 fans receiving a tenth anniversary commemorative holiday ornament. The Pack finish up the busy weekend with their first visit of the season to Manchester on Sunday (4:05).
Tuesday, December 12 - Wolf Pack Holiday Party at CT Children's Medical Center, 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
The entire Pack team will join more than 100 cancer patients and their families for their tenth annual Holiday party at CT Children's Medical Center, 282 Washington St. in Hartford. The party has become an annual tradition and a perennial favorite of players during the holiday season. The team will sign autographs and distribute presents to children undergoing treatment for, and recovering from, cancer.
Tuesday, December 12 - "Wolf Pack Confidential" at Little Mark's Big Barbecue on ESPN Radio 1410
This week's edition of the Wolf Pack's weekly hour-long talk show features defensemen Ivan Baranka and Dave Liffiton as scheduled guests. Hosted by Bob Crawford, Wolf Pack Confidential originates live from Little Mark's Big Barbecue, 279 West Main Street (Route 44) in Avon, from 7 to 8:00 p.m.. Fans are invited to be on hand at Little Mark's for the show, and the guests will be taking questions from the live audience. The show can be heard on ESPN Radio 1410 and on-line at www.hartfordwolfpack.com.
Wednesday, December 13 vs. Philadelphia at the Hartford Civic Center, 7:00 p.m.
This is the first meeting of the year between the Wolf Pack and the Phantoms, who are in seventh place in the East Division with a 9-13-1-0 record for 19 points.
Ex-Wolf Pack stalwarts Martin Grenier and Boyd Kane will be returning to the Civic Center as members of the Phantoms.
This is the redemption game for the Wolf Pack's Guaranteed Win Night. Since the Wolf Pack lost to Lowell on Guaranteed Win Night Saturday, fans holding ticket stubs for Saturday's game can redeem them at the Hartford Civic Center box office for a complimentary ticket to this game.
Selected Wolf Pack players will be conducting a free postgame autograph session in the Lower Mezzanine area of the Civic Center.

Friday, December 15 vs. Worcester at the Hartford Civic Center, 7:00 p.m.
This is the fourth meeting in just over three weeks between the Wolf Pack and Sharks. The Pack have won two of the first three, but lost the only previous game played in Hartford, a 5-4 verdict on Thanksgiving Eve.
Worcester (11-10-1-4, 27 pts.) has lost three straight (0-2-0-1) and currently resides six points ahead of the Wolf Pack in the Atlantic Division.
Sharks leading scorer Mathieu Darche (19-12-31 in 26 GP) is tied for third in the AHL in goals and tied for sixth in points.
As is the case at every Friday night home game, the Wolf Pack and Rockville Bank will be giving away $1,000 during the "Go for the Green" promotion.
Friday night home games are Guida's Dairy Family Value Nights. Saturday, December 16 vs. Portland at the Hartford Civic Center, 7:00 p.m.
The defending Atlantic Division-champion Pirates and Head Coach Kevin Dineen are locked in a first-place tie with Providence. The Pirates are 14-8-1-2 for 31 points.
The Wolf Pack and Portland have split two previous encounters at the Hartford Civic Center, the Pirates winning 1-0 October 21 and the Wolf Pack breaking back with a 4-3 victory on November 1.
Zenon Konopka leads the Pirates in points and assists, with 8-18-26 in 24 games.
This is another Wolf Pack tenth anniversary commemorative giveaway night. The first 5,000 fans into the game take home a commemorative holiday ornament.

Sunday, December 17 at Manchester (Verizon Wireless Arena), 4:00 p.m.
This is the first of four scheduled visits to Manchester for the Wolf Pack. The Pack won the first battle of the year between themselves and the Monarchs, 3-0 on December 2 in Hartford.
The Monarchs, at 12-8-5-1 for 30 points, are only one point off the lead in the Atlantic Division.
Former Wolf Pack star Jason LaBarbera has appeared in 22 of Manchester's 26 games. The veteran backstop ranks second among AHL goalies in minutes-played, third in save percentage (92.9) and seventh in goals-against average (2.37).

On Saturday, December 23, the club hosts its annual "Get a Gift" night as the Pack face off with the Providence Bruins at the Civic Center (7:00 game start). All attendees will receive a free, surprise gift and one lucky fan will win a diamond, courtesy of Becker's Jewelers.
The Wolf Pack's home game December 30 against the Manchester Monarchs (7:00 faceoff) will include an in-game concert featuring the Jonas Brothers, the Truth Squad and Nothing but Strings. The concert is sponsored by Radio Disney.
The Hartford Wolf Pack "Pack Shop", located in the newly-renovated Hartford 21 Mall surrounding the Civic Center, will be open for special shopping hours during this holiday season. The Pack shop is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturdays through Christmas 2-7 p.m. and for one hour after games, and Sundays, including Christmas Eve, noon to four p.m.. The Pack Shop features a Wolf Pack hockey rink-tiled replica floor and offers a full line of Wolf Pack merchandise and special 10th Anniversary items. Stop by and pick something up for all of the hockey fans on your shopping list!
