Sporting Kansas City News Release

The Kansas City Wizards announced today they have waived forwards Gary Glasgow and Roy Lassiter. Glasgow, a Senior International player from Trinidad & Tobago, was placed on waivers to make room for Igor Simutenkov, a Senior International from Russia. Today's moves were necessary in order to clear a Senior International roster spot as well as provide salary cap relief with the recent additions of Dario Fabbro and Igor Simutenkov.

Glasgow joined the Wizards as a Discovery Pick prior to the 2000 MLS season. He had appeared in 32 games for Kansas City with five goals and seven assists in three seasons. Lassiter came to Kansas City in a trade with the Miami Fusion prior to the 2001 season. He had appeared in 25 games for the Wizards, scoring seven goals and adding one assist.

"Everyone in the Wizards family wishes both Gary and Roy the best," said Wizards General Manager Curt Johnson. "Each has worked extremely hard and both have played important roles in the success of our organization."
