BISMARCK N.D., January 14, 2007 - Dakota Wizards get their seventh straight victory with a team effort lead by both Quemont Greer with 32 to give the Wizards a 20 point win tonight 114 - 94 over the Anaheim Arsenal.
Wizards lead by as many as 19 points in the first half shooting nearly 53 percent from the field. The second half was no different as the Arsenal were able to only close the gap to within eight in the fourth quarter.
"Our guys are playing well together", said head coach Dave Joerger "We don't have one standout player every night it's who ever wants it, tonight it was Q (Greer) tomorrow may be Major, the guys really play good team ball."
Wizards had five players finish in double figures including Renoldo Major who netted 25 points. Forward James Maye finished the match up with 19 points and Dontell Jefferson poured in 13 points to go along with his 14 assists giving him his second straight double double.
Anaheim who fall to 8-13 was led in scoring by forward Jawad Williams with 27 points. Guard Andre Owens finished with 21 points. While two arsenal players finished in double figures off the bench, Daryl Dorsey had 13 points while James Augustine hit 10 while grabbing 10 boards on the night.
The 13-3 Wizards travel to the MLK Showcase in Sioux Falls tonight to face Albuquerque on Monday around 8:00 p.m. CT. All showcase games are live on NBA TV.
