Wizards Preparations For 2009 Season Underway

November 16, 2007 - Midwest League (MWL1)
Fort Wayne TinCaps News Release

Fort Wayne, IN - Preparations for the Fort Wayne Wizards 2009 season have begun! The official ground breaking ceremony for the Wizards' new downtown ballpark and the entire mixed-use Harrison Square project will take place Thursday, November 29th. The team will begin taking reservations for 2009 season ticket packages the following morning, November 30th, at 10 a.m.

Fans can reserve their place on the priority list for 2009 season tickets by calling the Wizards office at (260) 482-6400 beginning on November 30th at 10:00 a.m.

Season ticket reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis, although priority will be granted to 2008 season ticket holders and major corporate sponsors, then to ticket holders of weekender and mini-packs and smaller corporate partners (within these groups, priority will also be determined on a first-come, first-served basis). All reservations will require a $50 per seat deposit.

A priority number will entitle the holder to purchase his or her choice of standard, premium or general admission seating. The priority number holder will be granted early access to the new ballpark prior to the start of the 2009 season to choose their seat location.

As currently planned, those options include Berm Seating (which will be priced at $5 per game--$1.50 cheaper than the least-expensive seats at Memorial Stadium), two levels of standard seating (All-Star and General Reserved), plus premium seating options such as:

- "Scout" and "Monster" tickets that will contain extra-wide seats on extra-deep aisles and will have a personal food and drink rail in front of each seat;

- Private Terrace Boxes, which are private, open-air seating areas designed for either four or six fans, and will include a high-top table and chair seating in each boxed area. These areas are designed to allow fans to enjoy a Wizards game and other events while having their own personal space to eat, drink and socialize with their guests.

The locations of all seating sections and the preliminary pricing for season ticket packages are detailed on the attached flyer.
