Wizards Add Depth To Roster

BISMARCK, N.D. - The Dakota Wizards' of the NBA Development League announced today that they have added forward Michael Peeples to their roster for the race to the playoffs. The 6-7 peeples will meet up with the team in Des Moines and will wear number two for his first game tomorrow night.

"Mike is a long athletic forward", said Wizards' head coach Duane Ticknor. "He defends well and puts a great intensity on the court. He is a slasher who can create his own shot".

As a rookie Peeples played in the CBA for the Great Falls Explores and led all rookies in the league with 16.4 ppg while shooting nearly 75% from the charity stripe. Peeples finished his college career at Fairleigh Dickinson averaging nearly 12 ppg his senior year before working out with both the Dallas Mavericks and Dakota Wizards' affiliate Washington Wizards'.

Peeples replaces rookie guard Blake Ahearn who signed a second 10-day contract with the Miami Heat.
