Winterhawks Announce 2022-23 Hockey Is for Everyone Nights

The Portland Winterhawks are proud to again host our "Hockey Is For Everyone" series of theme nights throughout the 2022-23 campaign.
Last season saw the Winterhawks host Pride Night, Black Hockey History Night and Women of the Rose City: Hockey Edition, and we're thrilled to bring those nights back again for the 2022-23 campaign. All three nights will feature a unique t-shirt available for purchase, with individual shirt designs from local artists from each community. Proceeds from those shirt sales will benefit different organizations and groups working to promote the well-being of members of the LGBTQIA2s+, female and Black communities.
We'll kick things off on Saturday, Nov. 19 with Women of the Rose City against the Kamloops Blazers, a night centered around celebrating the wonderful women of Portland and the Winterhawks organization! Puck drop is set for 6:00 p.m. against the Blazers for that contest.
Next, Pride Night returns to the VMC on Friday, Jan. 27 against the Swift Current Broncos! The Winterhawks are proud to wear special-edition Pride jerseys for this game, with game-worn jerseys being auctioned online after the event. Proceeds from jersey sales will also benefit local LGBTQIA2s+ organizations.
Finally, we wrap up the series with Black Hockey History Night on Saturday, Feb. 11 against our main rival, the Seattle Thunderbirds. We'll celebrate the long-standing achievements of Black hockey players, both within the Winterhawks organization and in the hockey world at large. Join us at 6:00 p.m.
