WINSTON-SALEM DASH: Dash Release Weekend-Heavy 2018 Schedule

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (Nov. 2, 2017) - The Winston-Salem Dash have announced their 2018 schedule, which includes 70 home games and 33 home weekend games (Friday, Saturday or Sunday). The Dash's full 140-game schedule is available here.
The Dash will host 11 games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. New in 2018, Saturday home games will begin at 6 p.m., a half-hour earlier than previous seasons. Most weekday games begin at 7 p.m., with all Sunday contests set for 2 p.m. start times.
Following a week-long road trip from April 5-11, the Dash will begin their ninth season at BB&T Ballpark on Thursday, April 12, with the start of a four-game homestand against the Carolina Mudcats.
Once again this season, Winston-Salem will host games on several holidays. The annual Fourth of July extravaganza returns on Wednesday, July 4, when the Dash host the Down East Wood Ducks at 6:30 p.m. Also, the Dash will be at home for Mother's Day on Sunday, May 13, and Father's Day on Sunday, June 17.
All Southern Division teams will visit BB&T Ballpark at least nine times, including a season-high 13 from Down East and nine by Myrtle Beach, the Cubs' High-A affiliate. The Salem Red Sox, Boston's Carolina League club, will play in the Triad 11 times. Wilmington will come to town for seven games, while Frederick, Lynchburg and Potomac will play one three-game set apiece against the Dash in Winston-Salem.
During the 2017 season, the Dash led all Carolina League teams in total attendance. Winston-Salem's season-long attendance of 304,607 was the club's largest showing since 2012.
