
Winning Spirit Lives on at Cellucor Field in Exhilarating Bombers Victory

Bryan-College Station, TX (August 6, 2015) - With two games remaining in the regular-season before their 2015 playoff run, the Brazos Valley Bombers returned home to face the East Texas Pump Jacks.
The Bombers' August 6 homecoming was Spirit Night, presented by Rattler's; and Thirsty Thursday, when beer, soft drinks,and margaritas are one dollar all night long, thanks to Western Beverages. The Bombers also wore special United States flag-themed jerseys, sponsored by the Barracks Townhomes, that were auctioned off throughout the ballgame.
Both teams were locked in a scoreless draw going into the bottom of the 7th inning when Joel Davis reached on a walk. Leadoff hitter Jimmy Norris then tripled down the left-field line, scoring Davis and giving the Bombers a 1-0 lead they would not relinquish. Andre Shewcraft pitched six innings for the Bombers without allowing a run and Hunter Neal and Nick Jones combined for three shutout innings out of the bullpen. Neal earned his first victory of the season for the Bombers and Jones earned his fourth save.
Following Thursday night's thrilling victory, the Bombers' record now stands at 41-9 overall and 22-5 in the second half. In their pursuit of a second national championship, the Bombers are currently ranked 8th in the nation in the Collegiate Summer Baseball Rankings

The Bombers will complete their two-game series with the Pump Jacks on Friday before playing a one-game playoff with the Pump Jacks at Cellucor Field on Saturday night.
Friday, August 7 will be Aggie Night with a Ty Warren Bobblehead giveaway, thanks to J4 Engineering. August 7 will also be the final regular-season game and final Friday Night Fireworks show of the 2015 season, presented by Brazos Bingo. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 pm.
