
Wings Win 4-2 over Kenai River

The Wings were back in action Thursday vs. Kenai River Brown Bears in day 2 of the 13th annula NAHL Showcase Tournament in Blaine, MN. The Wings came out hungry looking to get their first regular season points of the year.Â
Jackson Graalum(1) struck first for the Wings with a power play goal. Assist on the goal went to Will Hammer. Kenai was able to get the equalizer just a few minutes later. The second period the Wings came out quick again with Gavin Payne finding the back of the net just 6 minutes into the session.Â
Carter Roo and Tucker DeYoung assisted on the goal. Once again Kenai responded just minutes later to tie the game at 2.
 This time the Wings would respond with Tyler Bossert putting the Wings ahead for good. Kieran Durgan and Ryan Cook assisted on the Bossert goal. The 3rd remained close until Gavin Payne sent the puck the length of the ice and got the empty netter.
  Peter Thome was once again great in net for the Wings stopping 21 of the 23 shots he faced.
The Wings are back at it tomorrow evening at 7:15pm CST vs the Janesville Jets.Â
