Wings Win 3-2
October 10, 2015 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Aberdeen Wings News Release
The Aberdeen Wings Opened the 15-16 season at the Odde Friday night and they did not disappoint the 1,200+ fans in attendance. Tyler Bossert got the scoring started midway through the 1st period with a breakaway unassisted goal. The magicians would answer 3 minutes later. That would be all for scoring in the 1st but Eric Moser would get the crowd to its feet with a fight just moments later.
The 2nd period was a fast paced physical period with Tucker DeYoung getting the only goal late in the period, Will Hammer assisted on the goal. Aberdeen would hold onto that slim lead until late in the 3rd when Minnesota would find the back of the net and tie the game. After a back and forth exciting overtime period the two teams would head to a shootout.
After the 3 round shootout the two teams still found themselves tied, with each team scoring twice. It would take 2 more shooters for the Wings DeYoung to finally put an end to the match and giving the Wings the 3-2 SO win.
The Wings will close out the series with the Magicians Saturday night at the Odde. Doors open at 5:30 and the puck will drop at 7:15.
