Aberdeen Wings News Release
The Aberdeen Wings took on the Minot Minotauros on the road Saturday night winning 1-0 in regulation. The win comes after the Wings beat Minot 4-3 in a shootout last night.
The only goal of the game would be scored in the first period thanks to a rebound goal for #13 Michael Soucier (F-Caledon, Ontario) with assists from #19 Colin O'Neill (F-Odenton, MD) and #16 Kyle Haak (F-Okemos, MI). Throughout the game, the physical intensity would be strong on both sides. Again the Minotauros outshot the Wings 31-18, but Aberdeen would make their shots count with the 1-0 victory. Wings goaltender #35 Andrew Shortridge (G-Eagle River, AK) would stop all 33 shots on goal for his 6th victory of the season and 2nd NAHL career shutout.
