Weekend Recap
The Aberdeen Wings looked to close out 2012 and start off 2013 on a positive note but ended up dropping 3 games this past week. The Wings closed out the year with a 3-2 overtime loss in Brookings Monday night. The Wings were able to get goals from Justin Parizek and Jon Grebosky, with assists coming from Erik Baskin, Peter Krieger, and Justin Parizek. Stearns was solid in net making 39 saves on 42 shots. The Wings headed back home for a game Thursday night against Minot. Jake Horton scored the only regulation goal for the Wings with assists going to Joe Sullivan and Patrick Steinhauser, but the Wings came up short in the shootout 2-1. After a night off the Wings welcomed in Coulee Region to the Odde for the first time this season and while the Wings came out firing it was the Chill who were able to jump out with a quick 3-0 start and skated to a 6-3 win. Scoring for the Wings were Jon Grebosky, Patrick Steinhauser and Peter Krieger, with assists going to Horton, Dailey(2), Grebosky, Holmquist and Parizek.

The NSU band will be preforming at this Friday nights home game vs. the Bismarck Bobcats. The band will be passing a hat to help raise money for their trip to play in the inaugural parade at the end of the month in Washington D.C. Upcoming Games
This weekend the Wings 8-22-4 will play a home and home series against the Bismarck Bobcats. This will be the 5th & 6th games this season in the Titan Machinery Dakota Cup vs. the Bobcats. Friday night the Wings are at home and Saturday they will travel to Bismarck. Tickets are on sale now at the Wolf Stop and all 3 C-Express Locations.
