Philadelphia Wings News Release
WINGS BATTLE KNIGHTHAWKS FOR FINAL PLAYOFF POSITION
The Wings face the Rochester Knighthawks in their final home game this Saturday, March 27 at 8 p.m. at the Wachovia Center. The Wings (5-8) and the Knighthawks (6-7) are battling for the third and final playoff position in the East Division.
Philadelphia and Rochester face each other twice in their three remaining regular season games, including the game in Philadelphia this Saturday and an April 3 match-up in Rochester. The Wings face the second place Buffalo Bandits in their final regular season game on April 4, while the Knighthawks meet the division leading Toronto Rock in their final regular season game on April 9.
If the Knighthawks lose all three of their remaining games, the Wings need to win at two out of three of their remaining games to secure the final playoff spot in the East. If the Knighthawks win one of their remaining games, the Wings would need to win all three of their remaining games to earn the final playoff spot. If the Wings win two of their remaining games and the Knighthawks win one of their remaining games, the two teams would finish the season with identical records and the team with the best win/loss record against common opponents would earn the final playoff spot in the East.
