Inner city youth learn lacrosse from the pros
March 22, 2004 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Philadelphia Wings News Release
Thirty-five inner city youth get their first taste of lacrosse, when Philadelphia Wings players Tony Henderson, Andrew Guindon, and Jeff Ratcliffe teach lacrosse at the North Philadelphia YMCA. The Wings will also give the youth a short lesson on how to follow the game of lacrosse, in preparation for the YMCA's visit to this Saturday's Wings game.
The Wings battle the Rochester Knighthawks this Saturday, March 27, in their last home game of the regular season, at the Wachovia Center at 8 p.m. The Wings will honor their loyal fans with Fan Appreciation Night, featuring great giveaways throughout the game including two airline tickets courtesy of American Airlines. The first 5,000 fans will receive posters commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Wings 1994 World Championship.
Individual game tickets for the Wings indoor lacrosse are $18, $23, and $27 in advance ($20, $25, and $29 on game day) and on sale now at the Wachovia Center Box Office and all Ticketmaster outlets.
