Aberdeen Wings News Release
After a 5 game home stand the Aberdeen Wings (5-6-0) will be back on the road for a short 1 game weekend. The Wings will travel South to take on the Brookings Blizzard (5-7-0) this Friday night at 7:30CST.Â
The two teams have not faced each other yet this year in the regular season but in the home and home preseason match up each team was able to win on the road in close games. Special teams look to be a key in Friday's match up as both clubs have a top 10 penalty kill (Wings #2, Brookings #9). Aberdeen will look to improve on their 11th ranked power play as well. Brookings has played well at home so far early in the year going 5-2-0 as the designated home team, the Wings look to stay strong on the road and improve on their 3-1-0 road record. Both teams are part of a three way tie for 3rd place in the Central Division along with Bismarck, each team has 10 points, and trail Austin with 15 and Minot with 20.Â
The game can be heard on 94.1 THE ROCK, streamed @ HubCityRadio.com, or watched @ FastHockey.com.Â
