February 1, 2016 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Aberdeen Wings News Release

The Aberdeen Wings, proud members of the North American Hockey League, are pleased to announce that 1997 born Defenseman Andy Carroll has signed a tender agreement for the 2016-2017 season. Carroll becomes the seventh player tendered by the Wings as they prepare for the 16-17 campaign.

The 5'10, 165 pound Northfield, MN native is in his first season anchoring the blue line for the Sioux Falls Jr. Stampede U18 AAA program.

"Andy is an intelligent, puck moving Defenseman who sees the ice very well," Assistant Coach / Director of Scouting Mike Grattan said. "His brain and his stick are very good and as a result, he doesn't spend much time in his own end."

Wings Head Coach / Director of Francis Anzalone commented not just on the Carroll signing, but also the in-state connection.

"Though Andy is not a South Dakota native, we are pleased to tender a quality player who is also in our backyard," Anzalone said. "The Jr. Stampede program is on the rise."
