Dallas Wings News Release
The Dallas Wings (4-7) face the Minnesota Lynx (7-3) for the first time this season August 19 at 8:00 p.m. CT on FOX Sports Go.
The Wings are averaging 79.2 points per game, nine points higher than last year, and are led by the WNBA's leading scorer Arike Ogunbowale, whose 21.5 points per game is more than a full point more than the second leading scorer. She is also coming off a season-high 33-point performance versus the Phoenix Mercury, the sixth time she has scored at least 30 points in her young career. The Notre Dame product has the most games of 20 and 30 or more points since the start of the 2019 season. Second year guard and fellow Irishwoman Marina Mabrey is also coming off her best scoring performance, a career high 17 points, in her first career WNBA start.
Dallas will likely look to push their advantage from beyond the arc, as the Wings rank second in the WNBA with 91 made threes compared to the ninth ranked Lynx, who are averaging just 6.6 three pointers per game as a team.
