Atlanta, Georgia - The Dallas Wings (13-16) took flight over the Atlanta Dream (12-18), 81 - 68, at Gateway Center, Saturday evening.

Wings forward Kayla Thornton paved the way for the Wings, scoring a career-high 21 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Arike Ogunbowale, also notched 21 points and dished out a season-high eight assists and tied her career-high with five steals. As a team, the Wings recorded 17 steals, a season-high and the most for the team since moving to Dallas.

Center Teaira McCowan added 14 points and led the Wings with 14 rebounds for her second consecutive double-double.

Dallas stays on the road to face the Chicago Sky (22 - 7) on Tuesday, August 2, at 8:00 p.m. CT on Bally Sports Southwest Extra and CBSSN.

Notables:

Veteran Kayla Thornton set a new career-high, netting 21 points. She also grabbed seven boards.

Arike Ogunbowale netted 21 points, her 68th career game with 20 or more, and she also dished out a season-high eight assists and swiped a career-high tying five steals.

Center Teaira McCowan grabbed 14 rebounds and scored 14 points to record her sixth double-double of the season.

The Wings swiped 17 steals, the most in a single game for the team since moving to Dallas.

Dallas dished out 24 assists as a team for the third time in four games.
