Wings make Valentine's cards with fourth graders
February 9, 2004 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Philadelphia Wings News Release
Wings players Andrew and Spencer Martin, Tony Henderson, and Andrew Guindon visit Penn Valley Elementary School to make Valentine's cards with fourth graders, which will be displayed at the teams February 14 game vs. the Arizona Sting at the Wachovia Center.
The Wings host "Love Stinks" night on Saturday February 14 for the romantically challenged, featuring testimonials from jilted lovers on the center-hung jumbotron, a heartbreak piñata that fans can try and break while venting their romantic frustrations and the world's worst sappy movie moments. For those wishing to become single, a divorce lawyer will be available for consultations on the concourse. The team is also distributing black carnations, courtesy of Oasis Flowers and Gift Shop, to the first 5,000 women in attendance.
Individual game tickets for the Wings indoor lacrosse are $18, $23, and $27 in advance ($20, $25, and $29 on game day) and on sale now at the Wachovia Center Box Office and all Ticketmaster outlets. Wings pro-rated season tickets for 2004 on sale now by calling 215-389-WING (9464).
