Dallas Wings News Release
The Dallas Wings (4-7) rose above the Phoenix Mercury (6-5) 95-89 Sunday afternoon behind Arike Ogunbowale's 33 points and a career-high 17 points from Marina Mabrey in her first career start.
Mabrey wasn't the only one with career marks this afternoon as two other Wings players had personal bests. Ogunbowale tallied six threes on seven attempts and Katie Lou Samuelson pulled down five boards and dished out four helpers. Mabrey's point total came on a career-best six makes from the floor, three of them from beyond the arc, trying her career high.
Dallas also received standout performances from Allisha Gray, who dropped a season-high 20 points while grabbing a team-high seven rebounds. It was the fifth game of twenty or more from Gray for her career, the sixth game of 30 or more from Ogunbowale for her career, the most 30-point games since the start of the 2019 season, and the second game of 10 or more from Samuelson this season.
The Wings next take flight against the Minnesota Lynx (7-3) on Wednesday, August 19 at 8 p.m. CT on FOX Sports Southwest Plus.
